A Community Effort to Fight Hunger

At John Volken Academy, service is at the core of everything we do. Throughout the year, our students and staff come together to give back in meaningful ways that extend far beyond our own community.

One of our most impactful partnerships has been with Feed My Starving Children, where we’ve had the opportunity to volunteer multiple times at their warehouse. These service projects are more than just events. They are hands on opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of children around the world.

Packing Meals That Change Lives

During two recent service events, our community spent time at the Feed My Starving Children warehouse packing meals for children in developing countries.

Each session lasted about two hours, but the impact went far beyond that. Working side by side, students and staff packaged nutrient rich meals that will be shipped across the globe to children facing severe food insecurity. The energy in the room was powerful. Everyone had a role, and every small effort added up to something much bigger.

Real Impact, Real Results

Thanks to the combined efforts of our community, the results speak for themselves

^

Over $26,000 raised

^

More than 90,000 meals packed

^

Over 200 children fed for an entire year

All of this was accomplished in just a few hours of service.

These numbers are not just statistics. They represent real lives impacted, families supported, and hope delivered to children who need it most.

Why Service Matters at John Volken Academy

At John Volken Academy, we believe that personal growth and service go hand in hand. Our program is built on the idea that giving back helps individuals develop purpose, discipline, and a deeper connection to the world around them.

Projects like this bring our community together. They allow students to step outside themselves, work as a team, and contribute to something meaningful.

It is not just about helping others. It is about building character and creating lasting change.

WHATS NEXT

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Feed My Starving Children and finding new ways to serve both locally and globally.

This won’t be the last time you hear about us and FMSC. We’re already planning to schedule another volunteer session next quarter. If you’d like to stay updated on upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, or life at John Volken Academy, follow us on social media or reach out directly — we’d love to connect.

Because when a group of people decides to do something good together, the results can be extraordinary. Our students proved that, 90,000 meals at a time.
