This holiday season, you can bring hope and joy to the students of John Volken Academy Utah by sponsoring a student’s Christmas clothing and gifts through our Angel Tree Program. Your generosity helps create a sense of belonging during a time that can be especially difficult for those working hard to rebuild their lives.
Many of our students have never experienced Christmas in a family setting. For some, unwrapping gifts chosen specifically for them is something they’ve never felt before. That simple moment — opening a present with their name on it — carries so much meaning. It represents care, belief, and a reminder that their life is worth celebrating.
Each donation helps provide essential items such as clothing, shoes, and personal care products. These gifts offer warmth, dignity, and encouragement to the men at JVA as they continue their journey of recovery, character development, and lasting change.

Ways You Can Support
There are three meaningful ways to take part in this year’s Angel Tree Program. Every option directly impacts a student and helps make their Christmas morning something they’ll never forget.
1. Choose a Student and Shop for Them Personally
Select a student from our Angel Tree and shop for their Christmas gifts yourself. This option lets you create a personal connection by choosing items that match their needs and personality. Once you’ve shopped, bring the gifts to our campus in reusable bags or unwrapped so our team can ensure everything is the correct size and meets our campus safety guidelines before they’re given to the students.
Please bring the items back to the offices at our Utah campus at 95 N Foxboro Dr Suite 100, North Salt Lake, UT 84054 by December 18, 2025.
2. Shop Through Amazon Wish Lists
If you prefer to shop online, each student will have an Amazon Wish List linked on our Angel Tree page. Simply pick a list, purchase the items, and everything will ship directly to us. We’ll take care of wrapping and preparing the gifts for Christmas morning.
3. Give a Monetary Donation
If you’d like to support the program but don’t have the time to shop, a monetary donation goes a long way. Our team will shop for the student, ensure proper sizing, and wrap their gifts with the same care and attention. Every dollar helps us create a meaningful, joyful experience for our students.
Support A Student for $300
$300.00 Donation
A $300 donation provides a complete Christmas gift package designed to give each student comfort, confidence, and a sense of dignity. Every item is chosen with care to meet their daily needs and to help them feel supported as they continue their journey of transformation. Each package includes:
- 1 pack of underwear
- 1 pack of socks
- 1 pair of jeans and a flannel shirt: a nice outfit for attending community events or stepping out with confidence
- 1 sweatshirt and sweatpants set: a comfortable outfit for relaxing after a day of work or study
- 1 pair of shoes
- 1 razor/shaving kit

Students gain hands-on experience through our Life Skills Training Centers, personalized learning in our Education Rooms, and a variety of workshops and seminars that prepare them for success in life.
